Trademarks Regulations, 1970 (L.I. 667)

Regulation 30:(1) At a date not less than one month nor more than three months before the expiration of the last registration of a mark, if an application for renewal accompanied by the prescribed fee has not been received, the Registrar shall notify the registered proprietor in writing of the approaching expiration.(2) At a time not less than fourteen days nor more than one month before the expiration of the last registration of a mark the Registrar may, if no fee as aforesaid has been received, send a notice in writing to the registered proprietor at his trade or business address as well as at his address for service, if any.(3) If at the date of the expiration of the last registration of a mark the renewal fee has not been paid the Registrar shall advertise the fact forthwith in the Daily Graphic or other periodical circulating in Ghana, and if within two months of that advertisement an application for renewal accompanied by the prescribed fee and the prescribed late application fee is received, he may renew the registration without removing the mark from the register.
