Patent Regulations, 1996 (LI 1616)Regulation 31—Surrender of Patent or Claim.(1) Notice of an offer by an owner of a patent to surrender his patent, or a claim under section 55 of the Law, shall be given on Form No. 18 in the Second Schedule.(2) At any time within three months from the publication of a notice of an offer to surrender, any person may give to the Registrar notice of opposition to the surrender on Form No. 19 in the Second Schedule a copy of which the Registrar shall send to the owner of the patent.(3) Within three months from the date of receipt of the copy, the owner cf the patent shall, if he wishes to continue with the surrender, file a counter-statement, in duplicate, setting out fully the grounds upon which the opposition is resisted and the Registrar shall send a copy of the counter-statement to the opponent.(4) The Registrar may give such directions as he may think fit with regard to the subsequent procedure. |
