Ports (Dues and Rates) (Amendment) Regulations, 1969. LI 633

IN exercise of the powers conferred on the Ports Authority by  section 77 ofthe Ports Act, 1962 (Act 115) and with the prior approval of the Commissioner responsible for Communications these Regula tions are made this 11th day of September, 1969. 1. The Ports (Dues and Rates) Regulations, 1968 (L.I." 603) are L.I. 603 hereby amended as follows :—        Amended.In Part I of the First Schedule thereto—(i)        by the substitution for the figure "96" appearing in paragraph 2 (d) of the figure "48";(ii)        by the insertion immediately after paragraph 2 (e) of the following new sub-paragraph :— "(f) For a fishing vessel up to 60 feet in total length lying at a berth within a Fishing Harbour after entering and completing discharge of fish, unless the rate per annum in paragraphs 2 (a) and 2 (b) has been paid in advance, for every seven days or part thereof        NVI.50"(b) In Part I of the Third Schedule thereto— by the substitution for the paragraph headed "Specie" appearing therein of the following new  paragraph :—quarters for each ton or part thereof after a free period of five days from the date of deposit in a port area for every seven days or part thereof        NVO.60"(ii) by the insertion immediately after paragraph 1 (e)  of the following new sub-paragraph :  "(f) any log or curl which conforms to a specification of good merchantable quality as described by the Competent Authority under the Defence (Control of Transport and Export of Logs) Order, 1948 and L.I. 49/54 of 1954 which is within a Port Area, shall if ownership of such log or curl be transferred, be subject to a charge of, per log or curl Nß5.00" (d) In Part IV of the Fourth Schedule thereto by the insertion immediately after paragraph 3 of the following new paragraph :—"4. For the hire of a 59±-ton mobile crane for use inside a port :—(a) if hired for use during normal working hours on an ordinaryworking day per lift        or if hired for use between these hours per hour which-        NØIO.OO        ever is the greater                                    (b) if hired for use outside normal          working hours or on a Sunday        NV25.OOor a public holiday, per lift    or if hired for use between these hours per hour whichever is        NV20.OO        the greater                                    (c) for the hire of the crane for use outside a port—if hired for use during normal working hours on an ordinary working day,        NV50.oo        per lift                                              NØ18.OO3or if hired for use between these hours per hour whichever is                L.I. 633.        the greater                                    (d) if hired for use outside normal working hours or on a Sunday        Nß30.OO                or a public holiday, per lift           or if hired for use between these hours per hour whichever is        NØ36.00                the greater                                              NV60.00"        (e) In Part V of the said Fourth Schedule thereto— by the substitution for paragraph 2 of the following new paragraph: "2. for every lorry or other vehicle with logs, sawn timber or cocoa using Port roads and or parking area for the purpose of discharg-ing load during normal working        days, per lorry or other vehicle    on Sundays and public holidays—        NVI.OOper lorry or other vehicle                          NV2.00"2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into force Cment.ommenceon the 1st day of August, 1969.
