Regulation 181(1) A person shall not enter, travel, work or remain or cause or permit another person under the authority of that person to enter, travel, work or remain in a place in the mine where it is known that (a) the requirements of regulation 179 are not being complied with; and(b) where that person or that other person is likely to be exposed to conditions arising from excessive amounts of toxic gas or fumes, dust or excessive temperatures.(2) The manager of a mine shall ensure that only teams of the mine rescue brigade which are appropriately equipped are allowed to enter areas of foul air in the mine.
