Regulation 7—Resettlement requirementsThe holder of a mining lease shall(a) engage in prior consultations with the District Assembly, chiefs and the inhabitants to be resettled on the impending resettlement activities;(b) collect, analyse and document information on the socio-economic and environmental conditions of the inhabitants to be settled;(c) prepare a plan for the overall development of the resettlement area which shall include the measures, policies and strategies to guide the future development of the area; and(d) prepare a strategic action plan which outlines specific projects and programmes with action plans, guidelines and institutional arrangements for execution.
