Ghana Shipping (Maritime Labour) Regulations, 2015 (L.I. 2226)

Regulation 2(1) A shipowner shall not operate a ship unless the ship has been issued with a valid(a) Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance; and(b) Maritime Labour Certificate.(2) A shipowner who contravenes sub regulation (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of not less than five hundred penalty units and not more than one thousand penalty units or a term of imprisonment of not less than two years and not more than four years or to both the fine and the term of imprisonment.
