Ghana Shipping (Maritime Labour) Regulations, 2015 (L.I. 2226)Regulation 39(1) A seafarer on a ship that calls at a port in this country, who alleges a breach of the requirements of the Convention, including the rights of seafarers, shall report the breach to the Authority.(2) A seafarer who alleges a breach of the requirements of the Convention, including the rights of seafarers may report the breach to an authorised officer at the port of call where the ship is not in the country.(3) An authorised officer who is investigating a complaint made under sub regulations (1) and (2) shall give the master, the shipowner and any other person involved in the complaint, an opportunity to be heard.(4) An authorised officer shall ensure that a complaint made by a seafarer is kept confidential. |
