section 29: Where the Board grants a licence to an applicant to procure and sell petroleum products the licence shall authorise the licensee to procure and sell petroleum products to (a) bulk customers; and (b) to the public through retail stations or reseller outlets.

Procedures to Follow

Complete an application form which may be obtained at the Ministry’s offices. The form must be signed by the dealer or in the case of a company or cooperative the secretary.
(i) A deed of conveyance evidencing ownership of the property or
(ii) Deed of lease establishing a right to occupy the property

A copy of the supply agreement with the wholesale marketer (NPMC or UNIPET) in respect of the business which is the subject of this application.

Payment of a licence fee either at the Ministry’s accounting unit or any District Revenue Office.

The scale of the license fees are based on the local gasoline sales for the previous year as follows:

Marketing License (Retail at Petrol Stations)

For sales less than 1,000,000 litres                                                                 $1,000.00
For sales between 1,000,001 & 4,999,999 litres                                             $2,000.00
For sales 5,000,000 litres and over                                                                 $4,000.00
