Fisheries Regulations, 1979 (L.I. 1235) as amended by Fisheries (Amendment) Regulations, 1977 (L.I. 1106).Regulation 6:(1) No person shall import into or export out of Ghana any live fish except under and in accordance with the terms of a permit issued by the Licensing Officer.(2) The permit to be issued under this regulation shall be subject to such conditions as the Licensing Officer may think necessary or expedient and shall be in the form set out in the Fourth Schedule to these Regulations.Sizes of Mesh of Seine Nets for Herring, Triggerfish or Anchovy Fishing (inserted by Fisheries (Amendment) Regulations, 1977 (L.I. 1106))No person shall—(a) operate from, carry upon or in any motor fishing vessel a seine net for herring, triggerfish or anchovy fishing containing any mesh smaller than twenty-four millimetres in stretched diagonal length;(b) operate from, carry upon or in any canoe a seine net for herring fishing containing any mesh smaller than twenty-four millimetres in stretched diagonal length;(c) operate a beach seine net containing any mesh of less than forty-eight millimetres in stretched diagonal length. |
