Electronic Communications Regulations, 2011 (L.I. 1991)Regulation 46 Classes of amateur radio operators Amateur radio operators are of three classes namely(a) beginners, that is, persons authorised to operate Class "C" stations in bands 160, 80, 6 and 2 metres with the segment of the 40-metre band included between 7,150 KHz; (b) intermediate, that is, persons authorised to operate Class "B" stations in bands 160, 80, 40, 10, 6, and 2 metres with a segment in the 20 metre band included between 14,000 and 14,200 KHz and a segment in the 15-metre band included between 21,00 and 21,250 KHz; and (c) advanced, that is, persons authorised to operate Class "A" stations in all bands assigned to the operator subject to the limitations as specified by Regulations. |
